We would like to put on record that, at the time of writing, the fixing surfaces and details of the trough/housing areas for the mounting of our lamps are not known to us.
Site/manufacturing dimensions will be provided by yourselves and their accuracy will be your responsibility. Should you prefer, we will carry out a site survey at an additional cost, unless otherwise stated in our quotation.
The cold cathode tubing will be chosen from our standard colour range. Non standard colour temperatures/Tri-phosphor coatings can be supplied at extra cost, unless otherwise stated in our quotation.
Should additional visits to site become necessary, owing to the site not being ready, this will be charged for in addition to the quoted figure.
The electrical contractor will connect the mains supply to our transformers/ballast, and accordingly, we have not allowed for any mains cabling or connections. Capacitors, where required, will be provided (free issue) by ourselves to the electrical contractor for incorporation into the supply circuits. Our Low Voltage electromagnetic transformers have a 1.2 metre 3 core flex, the connection to the mains supply is not allowed for in our quotation unless otherwise stated.
We will not be required to attend meetings, should it become necessary to attend meetings on or off site, this will be chargeable unless otherwise stated in our quotation.
Our works will be carried out in normal working hours, unless otherwise stated in our quotation.
Once our works have started we will be able to work continuously until completion. Should our works be held up through others, additional costs may be incurred by the purchaser.
Any specialist access equipment required will be provided by yourselves or will be charged for at extra costs.
Troughs & Coffers: Please feel free to consult us with regards to the design. In any event they should be clear of debris, obstructions, have a level base and be painted matt white.
Any cable trays/conduit runs, where required, will be provided and installed by the main electrical contractor, unless otherwise stated in our quotation.
Transformer Locations: It is assumed that the transformers will be located immediately adjacent to the tubing they control unless otherwise stated in our quotation.
We trust that we have interpreted your drawings and instructions correctly; however it is your responsibility to check the quantities shown in the quotation and advise us of discrepancies or changes, to the quantities shown in the quotation.
Our Terms & Conditions take presidence over those of the purchaser in all cases.
Title of Goods: All goods supplied and/or installed remain the property of the supplier until paid for in full. Title of goods does not pass to the buyer until full payment is received. The supplier retains the right to remove such goods in the event of non payment. Late Payments: Where stage payments are not settled on the due date we reserve the right to withdraw our services / Engineers from site, suspend deliveries and cease production. Any cost programme/contract or legal implications will be the responsibility of the purchaser. We also reserve the right to charge interest at 8% on accounts paid later than our terms of 30 days.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing and signed by the Managing Director our terms are settlement 30 days after date of invoice, for account customers. For non-account customers our terms are payment with order unless otherwise agreed and confirmed in writing by the Managing Director.
Whilst we accept and abide by general Health & Safety guidelines, we find that the requirements of some sites are exhaustive for both our Engineers and Administration staff. In such cases where we incur additional expenses we reserve the right to pass on these costs to the Purchaser / Client. Within our normal costings we have allowed for 1.5 hours site induction for our engineers, the preparation and Submission of our Method Statement / Risk Assessment and a copy of our Health & Safety Booklet. Any other requirements are Specifically excluded from our quotation and may incur additional charges.
Additional charges will be made in the following circumstances:
Overtime/unsociable hours/travel & fuel/lodgings/subsistence - if it becomes necessary for our employees to work overtime or make additional visits to site due to:
The site not being ready for our engineers on the agreed date.
Any access equipment being supplied, not being ready by start of work on the day required.
Details, drawings, choice of colour etc, not being available on a timely basis.
Protection of Finished Works:
Owing to the fragile nature of our cold cathode lamps it is not possible to protect them against damage. Therefore, we will ask you to inspect the completed works with our engineer and sign our completion docket accordingly.
The purchaser should ensure that an electrical supply is provided either permanent or temporary, to enable our engineers to test their completed works before leaving site. In the event of us being required to return to site to: Test, connect, fault find due to the lack of electrical supply, we reserve the right to charge for any additional costs incurred.
Health & Safety:
The purchaser or his agent, should not expose our employees to any Health & Safety risks. Should a risk exist or occur, it must be rectified immediately, failing which we may be forced to withdraw our operatives from site. Any costs, programme/contract or legal implications will be the responsibility of the purchaser.
Technical assistance:
We believe our technical assistance, knowledge and co-operation are unparalleled. In the past this has been provided freely. However we find that this service is being abused, therefore we regret that we are unable to provide assistance, attend design or site meetings, prior to the placement of an order or letter of intent.
